Congratulations on deciding to start a #podcast. If you are ready to launch your first episode, this article will get you all set up for the big release!
Now that you have your first episode recorded and ready to launch, it is time to promote your podcast to everyone you know. Your direct network is the best way to start a following of listeners, after all, they already know you and like you. When Kalena and I got ready to launch our podcast we discovered that a lot of our friends had never even heard of podcasts before. Crazy right?! With that, we had to actually tell them what a podcast is and explain how to access it. The point I am making here is, you have value and support within your network, use it!

Make your podcast easy to access by sharing links online and by text. You worked hard to get to this point and should make it a fun celebration. Visit www.chartable.com on the day of your lanch (when you ask everyone to subscribe) to watch where your show debuts on the charts.
Finding your listeners...
You have a launch date and you have told everyone you know, all about it! So.. now what? When it comes to finding listeners that stretch beyond your network, I have two options. First, join social media groups that have members who would be interested in your content. Second, network online through hashtags.
I have built our listener-ship organically by both of these means. The podcast community is a great community of people that want to see you succeed, do not be afraid to seek out support through these different means.
At the end of the day no one can promote your show the way that you do. Sign up for speaking engagements, ask to collaborate with others in your industry. You can do this!
